Two Years After Katrina
“He has told you, O man, what is good, and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice…”
It is not enough to just remember.

Thank you for bringing that to our attention, Jamie.
Sonja,
It is so easy to go on without realizing what is happening. When our team was in Thailand after the tsunami, they discovered how quickly government and businessmen swooped in trying to buy up all the land ownwed by the poor locals. It left many of them poorer than the tsunami did.
We don’t think that kind of thing can happen here, but it does everyday. As Christians, we must be a voice against these abuses. Thanks!
Peace,
Jamie
Disaster can bring out the best in people. We have all seen it. But we have also seen the worst in people as well. It is shameful.
Joe,
That is very true. Let’s change the pattern with our own lives, eh?
Peace,
Jamie
Thanks for highlighting this today Jamie. There are too many events which are quickly brushed under the carpet in the media etc. Darfur is another example.
Great comments here by yourself and Joe. We need to be a voice for the voiceless.
i was just thinking the same thing jamie. i was thinking “how does this affect the type of person i am? what is my response, not just to national disasters, but disasters tha befall individuals around me. will it bring out the best or worst in me?”
thanks for making me think today.
Lyn & Joe,
Thanks.
Peace,
Jamie
